Jill Niemtschk - LPC, EMDR Trained, LCDC
“When we are no longer able to change a situation, we are challenged to change ourselves -Viktor Frankl
Welcome! My name is Jill Niemtschk, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor born and raised here in the great city of Austin, Texas. From a very early age, I have been compelled to help others. I decided to pursue this passion and obtained my Master of Arts in Counseling from St. Edward’s University in 2014. Since then, I have been counseling individuals in a variety of settings; primarily, in the criminal justice sector.
I have years of experience working with adults who struggle with substance use, anxiety, depression, grief, and trauma related disorders. I utilize a range of therapeutic modalities, specializing in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I foster an environment where one can feel safe to be themselves. I am client centered and believe in a collaborative approach that cultivates your growth, curiosity, and authentic self.
I understand that the investment in therapy is a big step both emotionally and financially; one that can feel courageous and scary at the same time. I am here to help you navigate these steps in a caring, non-judgmental space where you can discover, heal, and work towards your goals. If you are ready to embark on this therapeutic endeavor, you will be amazed at the progress you can make. I look forward to meeting and working with you!
